Metcalf Media
Website + AI Automations

Websites that book jobs, not websites that sit there.

Built so the people searching for your work in your towns actually find you, and so no lead that arrives ever goes cold.

Most local service businesses have a five-page website. Home, About, Services, Gallery, Contact. It looks fine and it ranks for almost nothing, because somebody searching for a specific job in a specific town lands on a page that talks about neither.

Metcalf Media builds the other kind: when somebody two towns over searches for the exact job you do, you're the one who comes up, and what they land on is about that job in that town. It opens in under two seconds on a phone, and every lead that comes off it gets a text back inside sixty seconds.

You own the domain and the accounts. If we ever stop working together, nothing has to be negotiated back out of anybody's possession.

You probably need this if

  • Your site has five pages and one of them is a gallery
  • You pay somebody monthly and the site hasn't changed in a year
  • It looks fine on your laptop and cramped on your phone
  • The phone number is at the bottom, under the fold
  • You can't remember the last time somebody said they found you online
  • A competitor you know does worse work outranks you
Here in Tulsa

Thirteen towns, thirteen different searches

The Tulsa metro isn't one market. It is Tulsa plus a dozen separate municipalities, each with its own map pack, and somebody in one of them searches with their own town in the phrase rather than with Tulsa.

That matters for a website because somebody in Owasso searches "in Owasso," not "in Tulsa." One page that lists every town you cover ranks for none of them. Separate pages, each with something true about that town on it, rank for each.

What's included

What the work actually is.

  • Coming up for every service you offer
  • A page for every city you actually serve
  • Built mobile-first and measured on a phone, not a desktop
  • Structured data on every page so search engines can read it
  • Speed-to-lead follow-up wired in before launch
  • Call and form tracking to whatever produced them
  • Your domain, your hosting, your accounts
How it runs

Strategy, Execution, Amplify.

  1. STEP 01

    Strategy

We work out which jobs are worth chasing, who buys them, and which towns are worth a page. About a week.

  2. STEP 02

    Execution

Pages get written and built, the follow-up automation gets set up, and the tracking goes in. About two weeks.

  3. STEP 03

    Amplify

It goes live, we watch what people actually search and land on, and we add pages where there's real demand.

THE COST QUESTION

What should a local business website cost?

Answers

Website Design & Build, answered.

How many pages should a local service business website have?

One for every service you offer and one for every city you serve, which for most trades is thirty to fifty rather than the five a template gives you. Metcalf Media only builds a city page when there's something true and specific to say about that city — a thin page repeated ten times with the town name swapped will hold the whole site back rather than help it.

Do I own the website when it's finished?

Yes. The domain is registered in the business's name, the hosting account is the client's, and every file produced is handed over. Metcalf Media doesn't hold a client's domain or site hostage, because an agency that does is relying on the hostage rather than the work.

How long does it take to build?

About three weeks from the first call to launch for most builds. Metcalf Media spends roughly a week on strategy and two on writing and building, and the follow-up automation is in place before the site goes live rather than bolted on afterwards.

Will my old website's rankings carry over?

Yes, provided the old URLs are redirected properly, which Metcalf Media does as part of every rebuild. Skipping redirects is the most common way a new website loses traffic that the old one had earned, and it's entirely avoidable.

Can you just fix my existing site instead of rebuilding it?

Sometimes, and Metcalf Media will say so on the call if that's the honest answer. If the site is fast, owned by the client and structurally sound, adding pages to it beats starting over — if it's a template on a platform the client can't export from, rebuilding is cheaper than fighting it.
